DAILY SCIENCE FICTION'S "ROCKET DRAGONS IGNITE: DSF YEAR TWO" BOOK RELEASE PARTY AT BALTIMORE SCIENCE FICTION SOCIETY

Baltimore City, Maryland -- January 8th, 2014

On Saturday, February 1st 2014, at 7PM, the Baltimore Science Fiction Society (BSFS), located at 3310 East Baltimore Street, Baltimore, MD 21224, will host two events: the Dangerous Voices Variety Hour, immediately followed by the book release party for Daily Science Fiction's, "Rocket Dragons Ignite: Daily Science Fiction Year Two." DailyScienceFiction.com is one of the premiere magazines for professional science fiction and fantasy short stories. Famous for their Monday - Friday publishing schedule, DSF is collecting 260 stories from their second year in the anthology, "Rocket Dragons Ignite: DSF Year Two" which will have its official book release at BSFS headquarters. The party is casual wear, and free and open to the public.

Editors-in-Chief Jonathan Landen and Michele-lee Barasso will be on hand to sell copies of Rocket Dragons Ignite. Many writers included in the anthology will be present to read and/or sign copies of the book, including:

Sarah Pinsker, James Beamon, M. Adrian Sellers, Ann Chatham, Rahul Kanakia, Jamie Todd Rubin, Rajan Khanna, Erik B. Scott, Mariel Herbert, Henry Lu, Erica L. Satifka, Alexandra Petri, Sophie Wereley, Bridget A. Natale, and Tom Doyle.

BSFS is proud to support literary science fiction and fantasy, and hopes that both professionals and the public will turn out for a terrific night of rockets and reading.

Right before the Rocket Dragons Ignite release party, from 5 - 7 PM at BSFS, the Dangerous Voices Variety Hour will be held, a new unique reading series which takes its cues from such diverse inspirations as NPR's quiz show "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me," and Orson Welles's original "War of the Worlds" broadcast. The two hour free event features readings, irreverent author interviews, trivia, prizes, and more. Rahul Kanakia and Compton Crook Award Winner Myke Cole will be the author guests. All are invited to attend Dangerous Voices and then stay for the book release party.

Daily Science Fiction, hosted at www.DailyScienceFiction.com, is an online magazine of science fiction short stories. They publish sci-fi, fantasy, slipstream-- whatever you'd likely find in the science fiction section of your local bookstore.
